The great technology has it's ups and downs, I've been feeling it for the past month. It seems I can't get Comcast to come out and replace a cable that the promised to replace so my Internet connection will last longer than 5 minutes. Each time I call Comcast I get the run around "I'll call you back and let you know what is going on", but each time they never return the call until tonight when I went off on them. They were supposed to be out this morning to replace the cable and finally bury it... you guessed it, another no show from Comcast. It seems they can't stick to their work for nothing and that gets under my skin the most. I would rather them tell me it might be a few weeks before we can fix your service then to tell me they're going to do something and then they don't. I've actually been able to stay connected tonight so I'm frantically trying to update the site. Maybe if I were to go to the road with the wire cutters and chop up the main line they might come out to fix it .

But then again, They may not, then you wouldn't have anything!! I know what you are saying. It is very frustrating!! There are people you can call and complain to about their service. FCC maybe? All the cable companys have to maintain a certain level of service or they can be fined. Find out who it is and then call Comcast and tell them that if your cable isn't fixed by, so and so time, that you are going to call them and file a complaint and you want them to take all the days that you have been waiting, for them to fix it, to be removed from your bill. This should get them on the stick.

I've heard others complain about Comcast and and I thought AT&T was bad. I had a boat load of troubles last winter and I finally got AT&T to send me a new modem, and it solved all my troubles. good luck with Comcast.

Lucky you!!! I had to buy a new modem! Then I up-graded my speed to 3.0 Max and when I checked it I found it was 1.577. When I called ATT about it they said anthing from 1.544 to 3.045 was what I could expect. So I says, Well what if I down-grade back to 1.5 speed. What will I have then? .500 to .900. LOL Doesn't sound right to me!!! But, what ya gonna do?
